Submenus wont work - 2005/09/13 17:19 Hello Georg Lorenz,

first of all, thank you for giving this nice menu to the public ! when i saw the demos it was just a blast for me because this menu is what i was looking for so long. my only problem now is: it does NOT show the submenus ive created. im using lxmenu to "cover" the topmenu. please help me. i hope these first information are helpful.

im using:

mambo 4.5.1
lxmenu 111a (module+component)
something "weird" i did: i installed the module before the component.

regards,
keilzahn

Re:Submenus wont work - 2005/09/13 20:14 Hi keilzahn,

It doesn't make a difference in which order you do install LxMenu.

it does NOT show the submenus ive created.
Are you really sure you have created any? LxMenu is not responsible for the menu structure, which has to be build by using the menu manager from joomla!/mambo.
If the menu does have any sub menu items then they will be displayed by LxMenu at all. And of course the menu items have to be published.

Please check the FAQ:
http://www.menu4joomla.com/component/option,com_simplefaq/task,display/Itemid,147/catid,13/page,1/ #FAQ2

If you need some assistance then please create a temporarily account for me. I'll check your settings.

Best regrads,
Georg Lorenz

Re:Submenus wont work - 2005/09/14 08:27 Hi keilzahn,

hope, the screenshots will work
Yes they do. Especially the screenshot displaying the module.

You are using the wrong module. The module you are using has the type mod_mainmenu. But you need to use the module having the type mod_lxmenu (described in the FAQ).

Please unpublish the current module, check for the module mod_lxmenu, place it into module position you would like to have and publish it.
That's all.

Best regards,
Georg Lorenz
