Undefined Offset notice - 2006/07/31 13:33 Hi, I have a Mambo site using LX Menu Free and also an integrated SMF forum.

The menu system has always worked fine but the first time I went to back up my database, I noticed it was huge! After searching through the tables, I found the culprit - smf_log_errors. It had over 2 million rows! Why am I posting here? Because the notice is as follows:

8: Undefined offset: 1<br />File: /server_path/vsk-aus.com/modules/mod_lxmenu.php<br />Line: 183

I'm not sure what's happening here. There is a link to the forum in the menu but there's no way I'm getting over 2 million clicks on that menu item within a few months. More likely this notice is being generated every time someone views a page in the forum - whcih would be quite a lot. But why does the notice complain about mod_lxmenu.php?

The site is here: http://www.vsk-aus.com

Currently, I go into phpMyAdmin and empty the smf_log_errors table but it fills up again really quickly. I'd love to kill this problem.

Cheers,

Paul

ok, I'll check it.
Please let me know what version of LxMenu you are using.

Best regards,

Re:Undefined Offset notice - 2006/08/01 12:54 Hi Georg, I'm using v1.01. Sorry, that would have been a very good piece of info to put in my first post...

I built the site just over 12 months ago and haven't updated anything.

Cheers,

Paul

Re:Undefined Offset notice - 2006/08/01 13:15 Hi Paul,

ok, then I suggest to make an update of LxMenu. In the meantime the version 1.15 is available

Best regards,
Georg Lorenz

Re:Undefined Offset notice - 2006/08/02 10:02 I'll install 1.15 and see if that fixes the problem.

Can you reccommend a safe way to do the upgrade?

I am setting up the site on my home PC so I can test things there first rather than messing with the live site.

Cheers,

Paul

Re:Undefined Offset notice - 2006/08/02 10:23 Hi Paul,

please reinstall both component and module.
After the reinstall you have to reopen the menu design in the component and to save it.
Finally you will have to set the module parameters e.g. position
and publish it.

PS: please follow the suggestion telling you to make a small modification to your template when you install the component.

Best regards,
Georg Lorenz
