This doesn't have anything to do with the menu, but it is a css issue.

Please try the following:
1) Set a module class suffix for the menu module e.g. "lx"
2) Add the following style to your css file:
.moduletablelx { width: 900px; }

I'm not sure if it will work.
In case it won't work please create a super admin account for me and I'll tryto fix it.
